After

Set on the edge of Pollença, this newly built villa became the holiday home of a British family looking for a space that felt lived-in from the very first visit — not like a showroom.

Having just decided to buy the property, the owners approached La Vall Projects. Our role covered the full journey: interior concept, sourcing, procurement, delivery, installation and final styling across four bedrooms, the living and dining areas, kitchen, bathrooms, hall and the pool terrace.

The brief was clear: this should not feel like a typical new build. Colour on the walls rather than white, natural materials and textures, and a considered mix of vintage Mallorcan pieces alongside contemporary furniture and art. Curves over sharp lines, no ornaments.

That direction shaped the palette: ivory, terracotta and sage green, echoing the landscape just outside the windows. The oak already running through the house became the anchor material, mixed with other timbers rather than matched too neatly.

A number of bespoke pieces were made specifically for the house, including a custom-made rug and carpet, and a curved bookshelf built under the stairs to fit the space exactly and echo the soft lines running through the rest of the home.

The bathrooms were one of the clients' biggest frustrations — they felt too cold and industrial. We replaced the shower wall and faucets with brass, and added a mirror, wall lamps and accessories in matching brass to warm the spaces up. In two bathrooms, a custom-made mattress was fitted to the window bench, turning it into a proper seat rather than a cold ledge.

Outside, the terrace and pool area were designed around a long dining table shaded for the hottest part of the day, with a lounge area alongside and sunbeds by the pool. Striped, vintage-style cushions and furniture carry the same relaxed feel out into the Mallorcan sun.

As the clients live abroad, La Vall Projects managed the project end to end — design, ordering, payments, delivery coordination, unpacking, assembly and styling — so the villa was fully ready for the family to walk into.
